One of my favorite songs by the great John Coltrane is "After the Rain." We have some incredible skies here in this part of Pennsylvania - especially this time of the year when they follow the summer storms that rumble through. Every time a storm ends (and sometimes during) Trane's song starts playing in my head. This past week has seen a phenomenal array of storms accompanied by totally awesome skies that have occurred before, during, and "After the Rain" ... So, my plan is to post some scenes of these skies intermittently during this next week, interspersed with other images so as not to totally bore you. I do hope you find them enjoyable and, as always I really like criticism of any nature ,whether it be positive or otherwise. OK, here is Scene 1 of "After the Rain"....
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
