Kermit the Frog sang "It's not easy being Green" which was a sweet, wonderful song that actually had a message. But I think almost everyone enjoys the color green. I know I do. This is from The Bushkill Creek near my home. It is a wonderful creek with trails and lots of greenery.
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"; Earth Wind and Fire
The green reflection in the water appears to turn the trees into
moss, such a beautiful pond and the light coming from beyond
the trees mystifies one to have doubts as to where the light is
really coming from. A picture of great beauty.

@Phil David Alexander Morris: Hi Phil _thanks very much for the great comment. I don't know if I should spoil your dream or not, but the light you see in the middle at the top is that particular tree being in a position high and open enough to catch the sun which was over your left hand shoulder at a position of about "eight o-clock" . Thanks very much - - I loved your comment.
@Marie LC: Thank You very much Marie :-)
Nature is so beautiful, all that green is magic. Superb shot. Good day.

@Tede: HI Tede - Thank you very much for the comment. I love your photos and especially the Noir et Rouge from a fw days ago - very cute and quite bright :-0
WOW! This is beautiful Denny! Love the color and how everything blends into a soft looking dream! Green is my favorite color anyway! This is stunning work, beautiful scenic!

@Wild Mustang Photography: Hi Pam - Thanks very much I love green too and I have always loved this spot as it is very near to my house and actually can be seen from the road passing by but to get the shot you have to slide, fall, or roll down the bank a little bit :-)
Amazing! Near your home! Wow. That's so beautiful. I love the vignette you've added. There are so many interesting textures here with the reflection in the water and the dense foliage. Gorgeous.

@Bettina: Yep - Get to see this every day on the way home and the fall colors are ooutrageous - I'll send again later in the year. Thanks Bettina!! I love your Dodger Blue guy today
Gorgeous tight crop . Reflection and colors are stunning !

@MARIANA: Thanks Mariana - because of where this is situated,it almost crops itself so it was fairly easy here.Thank you, Mariana
Lovely Green..Beautiful reflections..
Initially I thought you had attempted a radial blur...but on closer scrutiny - no..
Its just that some of the greens close to the water di appeary mossy, as Phil remarked above.
Lovley shot..

@Sunder: Hi Sunder - Thank you very much!
Super shot - again the feeling of isolation. The shades of green are great....
2 Aug 2010 4:23pm
@Nigel: Hi Nigel and thanks again. This spot is very near a main road as well, to be honest...but the actual shooting location is difficult to get to without stumbling down a bank...I get to admire this view each day as I return home and in the autumn it is gorgeous. Thank you sir!
@Dutçh: Thanks Dutch - I did not have to do much for the reflections just alittle contrast maybe. Thanks very much
I love Green, it's Mother Nature opening up her arms to us - and your image speaks volume ! and now i can picture Kermit in the frame ;)) Superb reflection and i feel so much Peace in your image, a gift - thank you !

@Scene by Sharon Photography: Hi Sharon and I you I love your photo. I am an emotion-driven person (just ask my wife) so your story really touched me too. Thanks and we shall talk to you ,more I am sure - hang in there :-)
@The MaJor: Thank You Sir :-0
A beautiful capture of this scenery whose impact is only doubled with the great reflection off the still waters of the creek. The sunlight does a great job of adding depth and leading my eyes to the background. Now if I only had that much green in my savings account!

@Steven: Tell me about it Steven!! AS I have mentioned to some other "commenters" I do feel lucky because I get to look at this scene every day when I go home - it is adjacent to the road...but as is often the case, you can't take the picture standing in the road unless you want to get killed, so you have to walk down there and climb through branches and fall down a bank with your camera gear and THEN you can get a decent shot...my knees can't take it but I do it anyway...thank you sir :-)
@B. Thomas: Hhi Barbara - I could have sworn I sent you a thank yoou note - but thank you for your comment and I also posted a comment on your blog apologizing for not seeing your posts for the last few weeks -I have you on my blogwatch but for some reason nothing was showing up and it did not even dawn on me - I just thought you were busy or gone..very sorry - I LOVED those Glacier NP Images- just great stuff!! I hope you will forgive me..Denny
Beautiful greens and super reflections! I like that mirror-like water.
2 Aug 2010 8:35pm
@Steve Rice: Thanks Steve - I get to see this every night when I go home and I finally got a decent shot of it - easy to look at from the road but not that easy to gettoin order to make a shot of the same scene unless you want to get run over.
@Mohsen: Thank you Mohsen :-)
@Landy: Hi Landy - Muchas gracias por los comentarios muy agradable que usted ha hecho sobre mi foto.... I had to look some of these up but I surprised myself on what I remember en espanol...but seriously I DO thank you and I checked out your blog and your photos are terrific...may I drop in from time to time?
I just love this shot Denny! Very well captured for sure, the reflections and the lighting worked out great! Bravo! (Isn't the creek awesome for pics???)
3 Aug 2010 2:54am
@Julie: The creek is DEFINTELY awesome ...I found a "secret trail" last weekend there that makes you think yoou are in the middle of forest primeval - fallen trunks etc etc...the whole 9 yards...I'll show it to you or tell you how to get there when convenient for you :-)
This image makes me melt. It's so full of life and warmth - I could take a nap in it. Gorgeous! Unbelievably gorgeous.
3 Aug 2010 4:01am
@Becky: Chocolate makes me melt...but your comment takes a very close second place - yoou are TOO kind good buddy!
Many wonderful tones of green in this scene, Denny. The reflection is beautiful. Such a feeling of peace and well-being.
