Friday the 13th Tree

Posted by

It's too long to wait until Halloween so I decided today would be a suitable day for this image. Last week , while I was catching sunrise shots at Merrill Creek, I just happened to look upwards and noticed that a few branches on this tree were angled just "perfectly" and enabled them to catch the reflection of the sun as it was coming up right - all right at that moment. This gave them the appearance of being aglow like embers in a fireplace.....but they weren't. They were just reflecing the sunrise colors . This is a true story by the way. So, this is the story of my "Friday the 13th Tree" and I am sticking to it. Have a safe and happy Friday the 13th!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
