Our Entire Family Together

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 24 September 2010 in People & Portrait.

THIS IS THE FINAL IMAGE IN MY FAMILY TRIBUTE SERIES - I WISH TO THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THE KIND COMMENTS AND ALSO FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING WHILE I LAY ALL THESE FAMILY SHOTS ON YOU :-) THANKS EVERYONE!! I LOVE THE AM3 FAMILY!!

This is the most recent photo I have of our entire family. I set up my tripod and Justin fired the remote for me. We snagged this while visiting (and thoroughly enjoying) Yellowstone National Park in late July of 2009.
I am the old coot kneeling in the lower left (as if you couldn't guess), Barbara is just behind me, to her left is our daughter-in-law, Lyndsy (a year before the appearance of little Aurora Jean, of course)...Next to Lyndsy is our grandson Justin (Amy and Steve's oldest boy), then comes our son, David...Below David is our daughter Amy with her younger sons Tyler and Ryan and her wonderful husband Steve whom we are so proud of.

This is what it's all about - the love and togetherness of a family. Families can be apart for months or even years but when we get together, it's like we have never been apart. That's not to say we don't miss each other dearly because we do. But family is the most important thing in our lives and the love shared by a family is a bond that ignores miles and time and exists and thrives like no other bond.

So, with that, I wish to thank you for your patience, but I proudly state that Barbara and I love our kids and grandkids more than anything in the world.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
