Chicory Fiber-Optic Connectors

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 1 October 2010 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

A blue Chicory and stamen to rest your eyes...I caught this outdoors, in morning light, with my Olympus Zuiko 70-300 MM lens...One thing about Olympus, their Zuiko lenses are awesome! I thought I would put this "summertime flower" in as a farewell to summer in the east (I hope). The weather here finally seems to be cooling a bit now. The fall colors are looking very "iffy" and I don't know if we are going to just get "brown and drop" or not...it rather looks that way right now I must say. So I have decided, while we wait to see what fall is going to do around here, I will take you to Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California's high desert beginning this Monday, 4 October 2010. I hope you will enjoy it.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
