Ryan William Roberge - 7 Years Old Today

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 17 December 2010 in People & Portrait.

Today is a very special day - Please allow me to introduce our youngest grandson, Ryan Wiliam Roberge and his wonderful mom, our beautiful daughter, Amy Jump Roberge.

Today, December 17, is Ryan's 7th birthday!!

Now, as you can probably tell, this image is not exactly recent. It was captured on a blistering hot, humid, and hazy day in Philadelphia last June, but I have always loved it, so I am using it here to highlight and celebrate the seventh birthday of this wonderful and energetic young boy, as well as his totally awesome mom!

We are so very proud of Ryan. He loves to play football, hockey and baseball. He really enjoys helping his mom bake and he does an excellent job at it, and is an excellent budding young photographer. He truly loves to travel and see new things. He is ALWAYS excited about visiting new and interesting places. He was our "official tour guide" at Yellowstone. He made everything so enjoyable for us just by watching how interested and excited he was about everthing from geysers to bison to hiking around. His curiousity and excitement are contagious...he is truly the life of the party!!

Amy is a teacher, a mom, and the absolute best daughter in the world!
She is always there for us and she has helped us so many times. The neighborhood she and her husband Steve live in (Essex Junction, VT) always looks forward to the annual Cinco de Mayo party that she and Steve host each May. Many other parties and "get-togethers" are hosted at the very popular Roberge household throughout each year!!

So, Thank you Amy, and a big thank you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to RYAN! We love you so much!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
