Jumble-Linsky Narrows

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 20 January 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is the reason that most of the images you will see in this short seires will be (A) Very close up and (B) Mostly Rock, Ice, and Water. This little creek is gorgeous any time of the year, but there are precious few spots where one can get "up close and personal" with it because of the natural obstructions consisting of rocks, logs, cracks, and slippery slopes. So, most of the views have to be captured with a longer or wider lens. In the summer, the water is warm enought to tread in some flatter spots, but not in the winter...So, this Jumble of Rocks, Logs, and snow and ice is a fair representation of the cool little Dunnfield Creek. But no worries, I'll mix it up a bit. By the way, if you are not cold yet, you will be soon. Enjoy

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
