Bending in Unison

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 2 February 2011 in Landscape & Rural.

This rather busy scene just callied to me as we enjoyed a short Sunday walk in the snow. I was taken by the sight of the trees leaning in unison and the view downward towards the main road and creek. The mass of limbs and branches tends to "busy up" this view perhaps a bit too much, really. But the sight of it was still pleasing to me. If you can make out the road, just beyond it lies "The Bushkill Creek" and adjacent walking path which has provided us with many peasant walks and images through the seasons here. Sunday, It was good to just get out for a short while after being under the weather for so long!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
