Washington Monument & Blossoms - Our last Look

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 29 March 2011 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Here is another view of the Washington Monument - this is my favorite of the two Washington Monument Images I have posted, however, my favorite image of this entire series is actually the very first one that I posted last Friday on 25 March, which was simply the lone cherry tree. The sky and colors all came together for that one!

I hope you have enjoyed this series. This is the last photo of our Cherry Blossom series. Tomorrow, I have another image captured in Washington DC (but no cherry trees) and then we move on.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
