The openness of this landscape - over 10,000 feet in elevation, receiving roughly 6 inches of rain a year - adds to the magical and mystical sense one feels. Moreover, walking among these ancient trees truly gives us a feeling of calmness yet, at the same time, we feel a peaceful energy that drives home to our spirit. We feel so humble and reverrent when we arrive and walk around. We feel energized and our souls restored when we leave. We think and talk about it incessantly for weeks afterwards.
I hope you can get a sense of this amazing preserve through these images.
