Hawthorne Blossoms and Sky Above

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 5 May 2011 in Plant & Nature.

I was actually haviing second thoughts about putting this image up here but the way things are going this week, I don't have time to substitute before the midnight deadline - so .......Here it is ;-)

These are blossoms from a ing Hawthorne tree , set against the sky (and another hawthorne tree beyond) ....They are native trees and are gorgeous when in bloom like this. The trees are nicely shaped and really make a great ornamental landscape tree. The blossoms don't last very long..just a 2-3 weeks from start to finish and with the weather here being as weird as it is this year, even shorter!

When fully opened, the blossoms remind me of Almond blossoms...Hey, I grew up in the Sacramento Valley in Roseville where almonds and olives were king! I wish all of you the very best - have a great day!

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at

ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
