Puffed Daddy

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 14 July 2011 in Animal & Insect.

This, I believe, is a Merganser. (Juie, HELP!!) I spotted several of these in the creek near our home. I need to do some work on the "face focusing" thing, but I LOVE his frazzled hairdo. And the gray wings with the white and black jazzy flairs are very cool indeed. I just love the puffy-chested look of this guy: "I'm the boss, don't even TRY to tell me I'm not!"

Well gang, Tomorrow I am off to Vermont once again. We will be back Sunday night (I hope). So, again, I have pre-loaded images for the next 4 days.

Also, beginning next week sometime, i will probably need to drop back to my old system of 3 or 4 images per week. All the work I have and other activities are really coming in to play so i will do the best I can. I certainly will be keeping up with all of you, though. I hope everyone's summer is going nicely (or winter in Stephen and other's case on the flip side of the globe).

See you all around Monday!

We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
