Yellowstone NP - Firehole River

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 15 July 2011 in Landscape & Rural.

Not far from the Old Faithful viewing area (which, in the height of the season, can draw literally thousands of viewers at one time), there lies a walking path which leads visitors around, allowing them to view the various other geysers that exist in the upper geyser basin (we shall see one of them tomorrow). Additionally, along this path, there is a portion which is simply a peaceful and serene walk near the Firehole River. The path allows one to slow down just a bit and absorb the surroundings in a much more comforting and relaxed way. This is one such spot on that trail along the river. I found it to be quite beautiful. I hope you do too.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
