Here is a view looking North from the Sand Beach-Otter Creek area. The mountain here is 1,530 ft Cadillac Mountain and if you want, you can drive your Cadillac (or any other motorized vehicle) to the summit area from the other side, or, you can do it the old fashioned way and hike. Although we may scoff at driving to the top of a mountain, the idea becomes somewhat more attractive when given the chance to shoot a sunrise from the top with a ranger-led photoshoot. Since the hike to the top is approximately 2 hours or more, one would have to rise at 2:00 AM to catch a 5:30 AM summertime sunrise. The drive becomes much more attractive in that case. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to do either, because we were only in the park for a few days and the sunrise shoot was booked. Thus, another reason for return one day, which we certainly plan to do!
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
