Put Your Sunglasses on For This One!!

This is one of the glary images I warned you about. Here we were at the top of Gorham Mountain and it was mid-day moving to late afternoon and I was bound and determined to take some shots. I had a cheapo filter on the camera but not a circular polarizer. This shot was 2009 when I was just beginning to figure things out - sorry. Anyway, the shot is facing almost due west here, due to the general east-northeast "run" of Maine's Coastline.
So we are actually looking almost southwest in this view. The sun was beginning to move over towards the far west but I wanted the shot so, by golly, I took it. I worked on it in iPhoto and that's about it.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
