Come in to my Chocolate Lab

Posted by

Sometimes, things just happen for a reason.

Barbara and I returned home from the grocery store...parked her car in the garage, as usual, carried the bags inside and washed all the produce. Several minutes later I went back out to the garage to hang the recyclable bags up on the hook and, there, on the still-warm hood of her car, was this gorgeous butterfly with its wings up in the old aircraft carrier "wing storage" position!

Last year I painted the walls in the garage a sort of pumpkin colour (don't get me started about painting a garage) and the blending of the hood of Barbara's car, the colour of the walls, and this beautiful butterfly, all melded together to make a "chocolatey- pumpkiny" deliicious scene....I almost labeled this an abstract, but the Butterfly protested.....I hope you like this and PLEASE let me know what you think of it.

PS - No flash was used and No Butterflies were harmed in the capturing of this image!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
