A Closer Look - Blazing Vermont Sunrise

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 19 October 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

Here is a concentrated look at the sunrise I caught early last week...Looking like the next victim of an oncoming blaze, this Eastern Pine is silhouetted against the fiery sunrise we were all blessed with on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in Essex Junction, Vermont....This was one of several shots that I excitedly captured from my daughter's back deck that morning. Other than cropping and brushing out some of the branches and leaves on a tree to the left, I did nothing to this image!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
