Giving Thanks

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 24 November 2011 in Landscape & Rural.

On this day, all things look toward the sky to pray for peace, forgiveness and grattitude for what we have and who we have.

Nature, although fragile, looks to the sky and gives thanks too...we just don't always see it.

Let us hope that we can find commonality, love, and tolerance in our world.
Enough, at least, to allow us to listen without casting judgement and love without feeling jealousy.

Let us give thanks for our family and friends and pray for all of humanity

I wish a Happy Thanksgiving to all in the US - and I wish a Happy Heart to all in the world!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
