Man of Many Talents

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 3 January 2012 in People & Portrait.

This is our youngest grandson, Ryan. He just celebrated his 8th birthday on December 17, 2011. His Birthday present was the little Kitten named "Finn" whom I presented a few days ago.

Here, we see Ryan proudly displaying his just-completed Star Wars land battle craft (by Lego), consisting of 1,000 pieces! Ryan put the entire model together by himself!! He also received another 1,000 piece Star Wars Craft which he assembled virtually unassisted.

This image does not really show it, but the land machine , here, has a set of 5 axles with a total of 10 huge wheels and a rear axle that articulates independantly. The vehicle also has several doors, weapons, and crew. The entire piece is almost 2 feet long!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
