Keep Those Diamonds in Your Mind

Posted by

From his album "Mule Variations," Tom Waits delivers a powerful performance in his song "Get Behind The Mule" ... There is a particular verse that contains the line "Always keep that diamond in your Mind." To me, that line has such an important meaning in the way we lead our lives as well.

As I viewed this shot of some newly fallen snow, my eyes fell upon the diamonds in the snow and I thought again of that song.... And so, I say, whatever "diamonds" you have to strive for - small and hard to see, though they may be - keep them in sight.......Have a good week everyone!

" Pin your ear to the wisdom post, Pin your eye to the line
Never let the weeds get higher - Than the garden
Always keep a sapphire in your mind
Always keep a diamond in your mind..."
