Looking out on Sanity

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 24 February 2012 in Abstract & Conceptual.

A view from a vacant office,
grunged, processed and Sanapseeded.
looking out on sanity
from within the corporate cell
Note the view is askew -
so is corporate life
Twisted and selfish
Greedy and mean
I hate it

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:

Great shot and oooh so true words, I think corporate life is like politics as you say twisted, selfish, greedy and mean. I'm with Richard focus on the money

Also a view from our so-called civilized world, Denny! What survives of nature is one of our last true forms of sanctuary.

Nicely done, Denny! I imagine being stuck in an office on a glorious day can really bring that sense of loathing. But, it also reminds of what's important in life - appreciating the time we have away from the corrupt world of greed and not becoming apathetic toward the beauty of the world which surrounds us.

@Jason Politte: Problem is, this ain't my office ;-) Thanks Jason :-)

Would that all prison cells had such a view Denny. As for corporate greed & meanness I could not agree more it's something to be avoided at all costs. Hang in there & keep your open optimistic mind which is an inspiration to us all.

Your image is strong and so well focused on the working man/women's nemesis!

Paul touched a key nerve for me ... hang on to your optimistic approach, Denny, and look forward to the time when you can thumb your nose at your 'powers that be'. ;D

this view could make up for SOME of the shortcomings of corporate life, i guess ... but it's probably reserved for the 'suits' anyway ...
long live the 99 % !!!

Denny, keep this image in your mind. We all need a way to get through the work day. Mine is dreaming about birds and my next birding trip.
