Many of you may remember this familiar lookng scene from February. I took several shots from the same spot but I adjusted my shots a million different ways - zoomed in, zoomed out, vertical, landscape, you know the story.
This image was one that I liked alot, but in the original jpg. the creek in the lower right hand side of the frame was way too dark! So, I adjusted the levels just a bit with a new app named "Camera Bag" that I recently obtained, and the levels came out great. I could have (and perhaps should have) brightened this area up even more, but I wanted to preserve the orginal look and tones as much as possible. Then, I moved the image over to my Snapseed app and used snapseed to bring out a bit more detail, structure, sharpness, and clarity in the beautiful branches that were so wonderfully encased in frost and ice!
All in all, I was very happy with the results of these edits. Those apps are a LOT less expensive than plug-ins. They don't have all of the "bells and whistles" that the plug-ins do, but are surprisingly good at the basic (and beyond basic, in the case of Snapseed and Camera bag) processing toolss.... And since I am an unequivocable "Pauper Photagrapher," I like that!
