First Full Day of Spring - Daffodills in the Woods

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 21 March 2012 in Landscape & Rural.

To celebrate this first Full day of Springtime, I welcome you all with a view (rather blurry, I might add, from a lousy job of shutter settings and a steady breeze) of this batch of "Daffy's." This hillside is very close to our "luxurious condo on the banks of The Bushkill Creek" (just kidding - our condo is actually on a corner across from a bunch of neighbors) ... Every year it (the hillside, not the condo) produces loads of Daffodills and Grape Hyacinth.

If you made it through the above text, you deserve an award - Happy Spring!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
