An Illusive Delusion

Posted by

This is not exactly a "spring-like" image after my post of yesterday, but, as we were walking around Merrill Creek Reservoir on Saturday, March 17, I captured this image. There was just something about these trees and the water and the conditions at the time that struck me as curious and interesting, all at once. But, i could not quite connect with what it might be.
Later that evening, as I looked at it more closely, it seemed as though there was a bit of an illusion/delusion "thing" going on, here. The trees rather seemed to give the illusion that they were levitating from the surface of the water. Kind of interesting, I thought :-) So here it is: An "Illusive Delusion."

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
