This is our "middle" grandson, Tyler on the mound in the top shot and swinging the bat in the bottom one.
In the top image, we see him throwing "some serious heat" from the pitcher's mound (I can't tell you how many attempts I made before I was able to "stop" his extremely fast "fastball"!) The ball is visible in the top center portion of the image, a bit shaded but just above the top of the fence line and in front of a tree..it is actually coming in towards the batter. A bit shaded but there it is.
Then, in the bottom shot, we see the opposing team's pitcher watch as Tyler just absolutely "jacks" the ball out of the park...A Home Run!! Tyler hit 2 of them in the same game on Saturday!
Over this past weekend, we drove up to Vermont and visited our daughter Amy and her fantastic husband, Steve and the three grandsons, Justin, Tyler and Ryan. A few more shots will follow in a few days.
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
