The "Sun Rose"

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 6 June 2012 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

I call this the "Sun Rose" because the colours remind me of some of the beautiful sunrises I have seen.

I wish I could remember the "correct" names for the roses that I have recently captured. Unfortunately, age (read senility) and time have wiped my memory cleaner than a computer after being sent for repair!

Early this morning, i am taking Barbara to Philly International Airport so she can fly out to SFO to visit David, Lyndsy, and Aurora for some weeks. Meanwhile, I will continue working for "the man" in my office prison earning that almighty .25 cents after taxes.

Oh Well.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
