Philladelphia Story - Goodbye for Now

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 26 June 2012 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Here's my final presentation piece from Historical Philadelphia -
at least for now :-)

In the upper left shot, a painting of the signers of the Declaration of Independance; to the right of that, the room in which it was carried out;
on the bottom left, an antique-toned shot of the bell and clock tower of Independance Hall; in the lower middle, the liberty Bell;
and on the bottom right, a reenactment of the times done by students and National Park employees dressed in period garb.

I hope you ave enjoyed this attempt I have made to display some of the aspects of Historical Philadelphia, If you have not seen Franz's series, I HIGHLY recommend that - he has done a magnificent job with his shots!

My Best wishes to all of you - Peace and Love - Denny

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
