Grandson Tyler Cranks another Home Run

Posted by

This is our grandson, Tyler, swinging the bat. He is on the All Stars for little league in his town. In this game, he pitched a no-hitter and hit a double and he also hit this home run.

In the top image you can see the ball just after Tyler connected with it. In the bottom shot, the ball is at the very top center of the frame, on it's way to the fence and beyond. If you listen closely, you can hear the ball screaming bloody murder (just kidding).

We are so very proud of our three grandsons, they are the best guys. Tyler, here, has really done well in baseball and football the past two years especially.

This is a view through the chain link fence that extends all around the field and is obviously and directly behind home plate. But this is the only place where one can catch the combined shot showing the pitcher, infield and outfield players, and batter all in one frame (or almost all). The drawback is that, even though I had my lens right up to the fence, it is almost impossible to completely prevent some portion of the fence to enter the shot, thanks to the diameter of the lens versus the width of the opening in the fence. I was not going for quality here - I was going for brag shots!! Nevertheless I do have an idea for next time around. Sorry for the visual distraction but I just had to brag.
