"Mama Told me Not to Come!"

Posted by

A few weeks ago we watched this storm line from our small front porch as it moved towards us. It was moving from the west to the east. As it approached, the wind suddenly (and I mean suddenly) rocketed from about 10 mph all the way up to gusts of around 60 mph! This lasted for about 5 or 6 minutes. Then, the winds "settled down" to approximately 35 mph with gusts to 45.....And THEN, ......the rains came! ...Oh My Goodness!....and it POURED for about 20 minutes. Then the faucet turned off . That was 2 weeks ago and we did not have a drop of rain until just this past Sunday when we were treated to a very similar storm weather situation...To say the weather is doing crazy things is an understatement.

By the way, just for info - Our condo looks like the one in the lower left hand side of the frame and NOT (Thank goodness) like those monstrosities to the right)!

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
