Vipor's Bugloss (Echium Vulgare) - I

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 21 July 2012 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

HI All - We are on out way to Vermont this morning but i did not have the heart to brutalize you all by leaving Baseball shots up there...not everyone is crazy about baseball as the Americans are - so, here is a respie from the frenzy:

Basically this is a "roadside weed" in Pennsylvania and other mid-Atlantic States. I literaly stumbled into an entire row of these along the edge of a graveled parking lot as i was leaving a short photoshoot at merrill Creek Reservoir i Warren County, NJ - June, 2012.

All can say i these "weeds" have the most beautiful flowers I have seen in a long time. I have some others which i will try to post here and there.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
