Today, many of us here in the USA celebrate a special holiday, Thanksgiving Day. It is intended here as a day of observance for our many blessings and a chance to gather with family and friends to give thanks and celebrate with food and togetherness. But being the way I am, I always try to universalize things even more, because I think we are all together as world inhabitants..
There is a dynamic and magnificent composition by the famous Jazz artist - the late John Coltrane - entitled: "Dearly Beloved." It is a "free form" conceptual piece that just flows ...there really seems to be no defined beginning and no formal end. It just keeps flowing through one phase and into another. I like to think of life in that way. As I have lived my life, I have come to believe that this is exactly the point! There really IS no beginning nor is there an end for humanity as a whole - at least not yet!
And for each of us as individuals, there is only that time that WE have, as individuals, to give, love, hold, sing, cry, engage, pray, understand, and show our children that life is really MORE than what it seems at certain times, and it is really LESS than what it appears at other times. But after we are gone, the continuum proceeds and I think it is important, for the sake of our children, to try and think of things in that way.
I believe that we who love this world and all of it's beauty and heart, should always try to keep the torch of love and tolerance burning. SO yes, We give thanks today. I give thanks today! And I pray for peace and love to all of you as well. Peace, love, and tolerance - now there's a novel idea. <3

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"; Earth Wind and Fire
