Popcorn Tree in Colour - (Random Weirdness Series)

Here is our Popcorn Tree in a more "Natural" tone....

I did not mention yesterday that this is part of a new, sporadic, series I have decided to begin, called "Random Weirdness"...My plan is to just show odd things, like this, that are "weird" or strange.....(the reason why THIS one is odd is explained below). "Random Weirdness" posts will, indeed, be seen on a random basis....no planned dates...no particular posting schedules. They will just "pop up" like a prairie dog..here and there,,,there and here...Ok you get the point...... shutup, Denny!!...

Now, as for THIS specimen: What we have here is a Maple Tree.The little yellow leaves that you see are the "florets" which NORMALLY make their appearance in the early springtime, when the tree is just "coming out." Typically, the florets are red when they first pop out.. However, as you can see, THESE florets are yellow. So, I am not sure exactly what has happened here (I shot this just a few weeks ago in early January)! I don't know if they have been like this since last spring, and simply never "progressed" beyond that point, OR, if they came out sometime later and got "stuck" like this in a kind of "nature's time warp," subsequently turning yellow during the autumn...Who the heck knows?!?. So, here we are, a classic case of "Random Weirdness!"

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
