Serious Stuff on the Way

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 10 February 2013 in Landscape & Rural.

A few days before the big storm arrived, I took a walk near my work and glanced up to see some serious business going on in the sky. With the assistance of Nik Snapseed "Drama" tool, I concocted this somewhat enhanced version of the scene - but not too much. I generally like to keep things real...I hope you are all having a geat Sunday.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:

Yes, a dramatic sky for the onslaught of 'Nemo'. Our hometown of Milford, CT rec'd 38" of snow and it's been reported on all the major networks. That's on heck of a way to get into the news, eh?
