The sky's the Limit -4 - ".....in a Pink Cadillac"

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 22 August 2013 in Abstract & Conceptual.

Here is one view looking away from the sunset, over the water. The clouds were tremendous as their colours were softly reflecting in the water. My mind instantly conjured up dear Aretha Frankln's song about "Riding on the Freeway of Love in a Pink Cadillac!" I Love that song :-)

Today, Barbara and I are flying to Seattle (not uesterday as I mistakenly had mentioned previously) for a family wedding. Also we will see Aurora and her mom and dad (our son David and his wife, Lyndsy), so we are quite excited. I have pre-loaded several images for our absence. Hopefully I will have a few shots of the Pacific Northwest to share with you when we return or, perhaps, even while there.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
