It occurred to me that I really need to show you a general outline of Elliot Bay, Seattle, the eastern portion of Puget Sound, and also the area known to locals simply as "The Eastside," which includes Lake Washington, the cities of Kirkland / Bellevue / Redmond (Redmond is where Barbara's family house is) and Lake Sammamish (suh-,maam-ish) which is a very short downhill walk from the family house (and a very steep uphill walk :-)
So, I decided to present the link below, in order to provide you with some semblance of reference points. Once the link opens, you will likely need to zoom out to see the entire area.
Now, you may be able to understand a bit more about Elliott Bay and the Seattle area.
In the image for today, his view is looking south on Alaskan Way which was one of the primary commercial streets in the very early days. The Building with the pointed top is The Pioneer Building.....All of this, I will talk about as we go along on this very disjointed journey...My kinda show :-) ...For now, I have blabbed wayyyy too much, so I will let you look at the map and the image here...there will be a quiz at the end of this fiasco...whenever that is. :-)

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
