Pike Market

Here's a look at Seattle's world famous Pike Market, established in 1907 and eventually grew into a popular destination for, not only locals, but tourists as well. It is a fun, very busy, diverse place now, with all sorts of shops and small markets, packed into dozens of little alcoves and spaces. The market sits along a bluff overlooking Elliott Bay and Alaskan Way. Getting from one level to another can be accomplshed by one's choice of ramps, stairs, or a few elevators. No visit to Seattle is considered complete wthout a look at this great place, famous all over for excellent fresh seafood and flowers, as well as all sorts of crafts, curios and oddities. It is also famous for being very busy, even on the slowest of days..But that just adds to the fun.

The top image only shows a small portionof the "front" of the market which extends to the right and left.... and downward :-)

Here is a wiki link about the wonderful market.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
