Splendor in the Grass

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 17 September 2013 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Early one morning;
The Sun Rose as usual,
But it looked orange like a sunset;
The birds flew by and looked down;
They saw the sun here,
They saw the grasses there;
And they sang "It's Morning!" to all the native grasses.
The Native Grasses are many;
All Shapes and Sizes and colours;
In this morning with the sun so orange
The grass is truly in splendor
As it enjoys this late summer's morn.
And listens to the seasons changing
And sings with the birds;

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:

"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
