Barriers - Bad News/Good News

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 19 September 2013 in Landscape & Rural.

Like small buoys in the water intended to "protect," Internet security systems can protect from the bad but,at the same time, prevent the good from being able to operate. The same thing has just occurred at my work office. They have instituted a new "security" system that completely prevents me from being able to view my AM3 blogsite. I am completely unable to get onto the AM3 site from work. While this is very bad news for me, our "corporate internet gestapo" (which is what I have called them for a long while now) has deemed it necessary to prevent any incursion into the internet for any reason other than strictly work related reasons. While this may seem correct on the surface of it, I know that I am certainly not the only one around who pops on the internet in slow times to look around or make comments. Nevertheless, I am now restricted in terms of time available to do certain things. I want to be able to continue visiting and commenting but my time is severely diminished now. So, I will reduce my posts to probably 2-3 per week, and i will visit everyone as often as I possibly can, because I really enjoy that aspect of AM3. I will post again in a few days and will do my best to "make the rounds." I am very sorry about this but there just isn't any alternative at the moment. Thanks to you all and I will get around to everyone as much and as soon as I can. Cheers and thanks for your understanding. Denny

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
