The Very First Starbucks

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 1 October 2013 in Documentary & Street.

Some guy with a wig (let's call him "Bonzo the clown") appears to be directing pedestrian traffic around the very first Starbucks, located in Pike Place Market , Seattle, WA. You may see just next door is The Hard Rock Cafe). Meanwhile, a Microsoft Software Engineer leaves Starbucks in a hurry after his Outlook Browser device explodes all over the espresso machine!
PS - Here is kind of a cool link with fun information about this very first Starbucks store established in 1971 :-) http://www.starbucks.com/coffeehouse/store-design/1st-and-pike

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
