In Vermont, the "general consensus" is that the 10th or 11th of October is usually the time when colours reach their peak. This picture is a panorama comprising 3 images that I grabbed on October 12. Here, there are still some really nice colors but it is equally clear that many of them had passed.
Certainly, when it comes to Fall color, things can be unpredictable in Vermont. But the beauty - if one has the good fortune of being there at the right time - is unforgettable.
Incidentally, the mountain on the right is "Camel's Hump, which is easily seen from our daughter Amy's house. This shot, was captured at an overlook area not far from Amy's, near a local college.
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
