Joni Mitchell...one of my lifelong favorite artists.... Her album, "Blue" was released in 1971 and soon hit the top rankings...But more importantly, I think,the Album marked Joni's the very early but extremely notable and powerful entry (to the public) into the dynamic world of jazz. Already a magnificent and brilliantly creative singer and musician, her album "Blue" just soared! for me..I still get chills listening to the entry to the song and the album. So Joni, this is for you! My image here could definitely drink a case of your music and still not get enough..
Here is a video of Joni years ago performing the song.
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.
::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"; Earth Wind and Fire
