My Favorite Snow Tree

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 6 February 2014 in Landscape & Rural.

This tree is just down the road from our condo. it's always been a favorite of mine because of the shape and the fact that it is perched on a rather steep little slope which makes the tree appear as though it is about to jump - limbs, trunk, roots, and all! We had a very wet snow storm a few days ago and the snow adhered to all the trees, making them look as though they had white blossoms on them. I decided to venture down that way. All I had was my iPhone but I took the shot anyway. There wasn't really much color in the sky so I decided to "doctor it up a bit." I hope you like it :-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
