A long way Down

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 23 May 2014 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

I almost did not post this image, as it did not strike me as being very much different from many of the other photos we see from this spot. However, I do like the perspective, here, which seems to do a decent job of exemplifying the height of the falls, and lends a rather convincing feeling of altitude thanks to the presence of the tour boat WAY down there, alongside the Ontario side!. One thing is for certain: these falls are HIGH! At any rate, I hope you enjoy - Let me know what you think ;-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
