Fog and Field Abstract

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 2 October 2014 in Abstract & Conceptual.

I shot a very dark and foggy scene earlier this week. Processing the images at home later that night just seemed to be lacking something. So I decided to add some interest, if I could, in the form of conceptual editing. This has been processed in various Nik Software tools and finished up in Nik Silver Efex Pro 2. I would love to hear your comments.

Speaking of comments, please allow me to thank all of your for your kind words...I am trying to 'get back" :-)

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
; Earth Wind and Fire
