Field of Dreams

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 19 November 2014 in Landscape & Rural.

To many, the phrase "Field of Dreams" instantly brings forth the vision of Baseball and summertime fun.
But a field like this can induce another kind of dream, as well.
It can tell the story of hard work. The field once bore crops of corn or soy or wheat. Now mown, plowed, and smoothed, the field waits for winter, when it can finally take a vacation and rest until spring when it will go back to work.
The crops from this field have fulfilled many dreams by providing a sellable product for farmers who dream of paying off the tractor or improving the barn, or just have a big party..
Still, for others, the sight of a field at any time of the year can bring about dreams of all kind as it serves as a platform to lead the eye and imagination further into the horizon where the beauties of fall, spring, winter or summer can be enjoyed...and then...... still more dreams.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
