Waiting for Ichabod

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 21 November 2014 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

This is what I think Ichabod Crane's forest would look like....
Ichabod rides through these woods on his way to an autumn feast (Ichabod LOVES to eat).....but, at the far end of this "Tunnel" the wicked Headless Horseman waits to attack from the left!. Oh no!! Where is he!?

(Inspired by "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving,

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."

Gérard Beullac from Paris, France

I'm not sure I would have the Headless Horseman in mind, if I were there ... I'm sure the magnificence of the place would distract my thoughts from this little concern.
Great capture with a beautiful treatment. This could be a pen and ink drawing.
