A Lost Friend

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 4 February 2015 in People & Portrait.

I like to think of him like a pond that reflects trees and leaves and light on a still Autumn day.
Like a pond, he was always there. Always dependable.
Like a tree, he was steady but also flexible when he wanted to be :-)
He was straightforward, but he often leaned and laughed with a warm sense of humor.
He was kind always ....He was firm when he wanted to be :-)
He had the strength of a Maple tree yet he also had the softness of an autumn breeze.
He was a loving husband. A good father......A great friend.
What a friend he was.
He made me laugh...he made me happy. Happy to be his friend.

Go in peace my friend - I miss you ...We all Miss you
And we will always... and all Ways....Love you.

** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

::Words from Denny:
- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
