Joshua Tree National Park is a massive park with campgrounds, lots and lots of trails ...long and short, easy and not so easy.... and downright brutal...and a lot of rock climbing for novices and pros.
This is Arch Rock which is on a very short 1/2 Mile "loop" trail that is adjacent to White Tanks Campground. This arch is not huge - about 20 feet across and around 5 ft at the arch but the shape is reminiscent of the much larger rock arches seen in the beautiful National Parks Arches, Canyonlands, and others. The distinct granite here is mistakenly refered-to by many as "sandstone." Well, this is not sandstone but it looks lt.
I have taken far too much time here, but Joshua Tree National Park is one of those parks that were almost in the "secret' category for a long time.
We are getting close to the time I will show you the Joshua Tree and other plants - stay tuned :-)
** Staples Singers - "Respect Yourself"
- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)
- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.

ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"; Earth Wind and Fire
