Dreaming Place -1

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 7 May 2015 in Landscape & Rural.

The old Dogwood tree seems right at home in this Church graveyard. Both the church and the graveyard date back to the 1600's, which, by American standards, is very old. I liked how the dogwood blossoms reflected the light. This image was captured exactly in the middle of the day! Not the best time but t was my only opportunity to grab the shot.

To grab this look, I used my Singh Ray Hi-Lux filter stacked with my Singh Ray Tony Sweet Pro-Mist filter. The Tony Sweet filter is what provides this dreamy look...it is fun to experiment with

In two days, I will feature this same image but in B&W - let me know what you think of the two of them if you wish.

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:
EARTH WIND AND FIRE;
"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
