Dames Rocket - (Hesperis matronalis)

Posted by
Denny Jump (Bellevue, WA, United States) on 22 June 2015 in Plant & Nature.

There are so many beautiful wildflowers in Pennsylvania and all the Mid-Atlantic States, it is difficult to choose one to begin with but these purple/ pink Dames Rocket are among my favorites - they tend to be early bloomers and are always a good sign that summer truly is underway. They are surrounded in this image by a flood of Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
which is an extremely dominant wildflower here..very delicate and white.

- " We do not move forward from a middle opinion, which is undemocratic but mediocratic.
We advance from a creative passion "- (Edgar Morin)

- "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at
that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
- Henri Cartier-Bresson.

- My beliefs, and values, have always been strongly tied-to music, especially Jazz, and Blues.
- The following artists and lyrics seem to "sum-up" where my spirit resides:

"HOLD ON TO YOUR SPIRIT,
ALWAYS FEEL YOUR SOUL....
HONOR THE MAGIC IN YOUR HEART"
